One night to... be in love. Review your hearts secrets.

Yoga i-D has loved listening to The Knife 'Heartbeats' cover this week! As usual reading, reading, reading and RETROGRADE has arrived again! I was sent a wonderful article that pretty much sums up recent thinking and I thought that i'd share some of it with you and use this thinking to inspire this weeks practice.

In mythology Venus ruled beauty, love and pleasure—she didn’t deny herself anything that felt good.

This unadorned mysterious indulgence will be guiding us in all that we do—quite simply, if we want it—we will do anything it takes to get it.

Each retrograde period tends to focus on one particular aspect of our lives, and for the next five weeks the area of our hearts and relationships will be returning for review.

This is precisely the best part of Mercury retrograde—it gives us the chance to review our heart’s secrets.

If we’re thinking about something—it’s because it matters.

The biggest challenge we face is simply to follow the direction that our hearts are.

Where is your heart pulling you this week?

In yoga, can you open your heart through backbends and why not try to tune in to its retrograde while you are there and use your practice to find your direction - tune in to your thought patterns by tuning out through yoga.
