"Yoga is not to get out of this world, but to get in to it!"Caring for others will bring you closer to liberation than anything else - Jivamukti Yoga.
Please support me in making my dream come true and 'Get me to India!' to study with my mentors and two visionaries Sharon Gannon and David Life. It is my obligation to now take this beautiful invitation to travel to India and spend one month next year training again, to hone my teaching through the practice of Jivamukti Yoga and bring Jiva back to Bristol and offer it to you, as well as the online Global Community!!!! I believe in the ancient teachings of yoga as a radical practice that brings you back to yourself and wish to connect you yogis with these teachings in a modern way to bring you closer to a state of liberation - but I need your HELP TO FUND THIS DREAM!
Check out all the rewards I plan to give in return for any generous contributions you are able to make - any penny you have, big or small will be greatly received, as I am so grateful for you all already continuing to support my teaching, simply by reading this blog and attending my classes for those of you in Bristol. With your help, classes will soon become available online too if this campaign is a success.
Please also take some time to share the links with your friends and wider community.

SO WITH THIS IN MIND....
In class this week, we will take the humble inspiration of taking action to make your dreams happen, to explore, what are your dreams, visions and actions that you wish to take in your own lives to become more liberated?
My best friend said to me today... visualise what you want, how it feels, smells, tastes and looks and if its meant to happen it will. She is a wisdom guru without a doubt. And if we look to the yogic teachings as a guide... 'Lila' is a sanskrit term that translates roughly to the word 'play'. This is where the mind dwells only in the beloved. So to become liberated we focus our love on that divine and we become devoted. We let the world become our playground and we dream and we visualise and we continue the devotion.
Devotion has two important elements: 1. Identification 2. separation. The first is a sense of belonging and the second is a space within which to develop yearning and love.
Essentially, any yoga practice has to be a labour of love. It has to turn your heart on. Where your mind goes, so goes your reality.
So lets see! I thank you all for taking the time each week to read this and for any contributions you make. Big love.
Lets move on our mats, meditate, breathe and find the Jiva Mukta within you... 'Jiva' Individual Soul 'Mukta' liberation and make liberation possible for you while living in a modern urban landscape.
Namaste and blessings to you all.

MORE ABOUT MY CROWDFUNDER..
The ultimate vision that I have is my wish to contribute in the creation of a Global Community of Yogis, by aiding them to practice yoga in a liberated way, to help to create positive change in humanity, by teaching people to find their identity through their development of Yoga and Art of Living.
My journey so far...
After committing to over 17 years of practicing Yoga and over 4 years of study, devotion and dedication, I have to this day managed to self finance and make it a reality to complete a + 500 hour British Wheel of Yoga Teacher training diploma. This was a huge achievement not only to maintain it financially but to have the strength to continue through life challenges that included a pregnancy, a break up, an arrival of a new born baby, a house move, maintaining self-employment whilst studying and raising my two small children as a single parent, through sleep deprivation, and postnatal recovery as well as building back our lives here in Bristol. For much of my studies, my youngest would sit on the end of my mat, feed then sleep, whilst I immersed myself in practice and focused on learning how to teach the incredible practice of Yoga. It was through the teachings of Yoga and my incredible teachers so far, that undoubtedly supported me and made this all possible.
Since those challenging and enriching times, for the past 2 years I have successfully managed to begin teaching yoga in my home city of Bristol, UK and worked hard to create an offering that is known as A Yoga i-D. This simply teaches Yoga as a practice, rooted in ancient tradition in a modern way that is engaging and supports people to become inspired, to connect to each other, gather together and find their own identity through understanding compassion and life today.
I offer a Blog that I have committed to blogging once a week, every week, for the past 2 years, as a way to share the teachings of Yoga and my connections to it with my students, as well as being made available to a global online community through social media platforms for which I have followers and receive lovely regular feedback on and featured in Yoga's Top 10 Blogs online.
I have developed not only thriving classes here in Bristol, but an incredible community of Yogiswhose own commitment, openess and support, blows my mind, as they continue to come and explore the Yoga I offer each week.
BUT!!!! Here is where the vision and essence of my Yogic teaching path will truly come alive...
In February 2018, I have the opportunity to become a student again for one month and travel to India to study with my mentors, two visionaries, Sharon Gannon and David Life, who have inspired and continue to inspire, a world of change through a method I feel so connected to and am willinging to travel half way across the world to learn, called Jivamukti Yoga.
Jivamukti is a physical, ethical, and spiritual practice, combining a vigorous hatha yoga, vinyasa-based physical style with adherence to five central tenets: shastra (scripture), bhakti (devotion), ahimsa ( non-harming), nāda (music), and dhyana (meditation). Animal rights, veganism, environmentalism, and social activism are also emphasized.
To embark upon this next journey I am asking for your help.
To say this is a dream, really is an understatement. Financially this is never going to be possible for me to do without support, let alone to take this leap of faith to travel alone for one month and complete this training by leaving my two little ones behind is a challenge I am willing to face. As, I believe that action needs to be taken now and the only thing that stops us from acting is when we give up and think this is never possible. If I had given up on this journey to take my Yoga out of my self practice and become a teacher, I would never have achieved what I have so far, even when there was not the support available.
My yoga practice and my teaching is something I am deeply passionate about, and I feel its my obligation to now take my next step.
It is through my journey of life becoming a mother, a yoga teacher and a part of Bristol community, so far with all its twists and turns, I have courage and self belief that we can achieve what we put our minds and energy in and to honestly and openly reach out and ask when we need a little help.
It empowers me more to continue to fully pursue my hopes and dreams so my children learn how to adventure and make their own dreams come true, by witnessing me bravely doing it.
Every single penny you can contribute will be so much appreciated and help to fund:
- My Flights from UK to India, including transfers
- Full Course Fees
- Course material
- A month of extra Childcare for my two children
- Setting up New classes, workshops, retreats and more juicy offerings on my return!
So here i am, reaching out and asking for your support, for not only my pure gratitude in return but much, much more.....
